Hi! I'm Katie, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Yoga & Meditation Teacher.

Welcome to my website, and thank you for being here. I’m Katie, and I want to share a bit about my journey in hopes that it inspires you!

 

My Wellness Journey

 

In 2003, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. The full diagnosis at that time was juvenile idiopathic arthritis—rheumatoid factor positive. This means "young arthritis," and the doctors were puzzled as to why I had it, especially since there was no family history of rheumatoid arthritis.

 

I explored various treatments and medications offered by the Western medical field, from prednisone to methotrexate, and endured numerous side effects. I was even told that I would be in a wheelchair by the time I turned 30. However, I am 34 and I can assure you I am healthier than ever. After exhausting the Western medical route, I realized there had to be another way to manage my condition, which led me to discover holistic nutrition.

 

After graduating from university with a Bachelor of Arts in Sport, Health, and Physical Education, I pursued the holistic nutrition program. I was immediately struck by information that could profoundly improve my life. Initially, I was frustrated that no one had introduced me to this information sooner, but I soon realized that change comes when you are ready to embrace it.

 

I made the change.

 

I graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2013 as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. Since then, I have worked with clients facing health challenges such as bloating, poor digestion, inflammation, and autoimmune conditions. I have also conducted numerous workshops on topics like cleansing, fermenting, gut health, and super foods, women's circles, wellness retreats, and more!

 

By applying what I learned as a holistic nutritionist, I have achieved amazing results, significantly reducing my medication and experiencing periods of being medication-free. I learned to properly nourish my body with wholesome foods, positive thoughts, yoga, and meditation, all of which have drastically improved my health. My experience has inspired me to help others reclaim their health and well-being.


In April 2020, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training and became a Registered Yoga Teacher. I have been teaching live online Hatha

yoga classes and yoga series for a many years, hosting virtual wellness retreats as well as in-person women's wellness retreats, and teaching in-person classes at local studios as well as hosting women's circles. Additionally, I offer private yoga sessions and share shorter yoga classes on my YouTube channel.

 

I am passionate about helping others improve their health and wellness through a holistic approach that encompasses body, mind, and spirit. By integrating yoga, meditation, and nutrition, I deliver diverse options to serve your unique health and wellness needs.

 

Mission

 

My mission is to motivate and educate you to reconnect with creating and eating healthy foods that nourish your body, as well as to connect to your body and breath through yoga and meditation to nourish your mind and soul.
